Q-Card: from early traction to scale

Q-Card is a fintech company founded by Quyntess. It helps larger organizations bring tail spend under management through a secure, easy-to-use solution that combines purchasing and approval workflows, payment capabilities, spend visibility and integration with ERP and financial systems.
Q-Card is no longer an idea-stage start-up. The first customers are onboard, the solution is proven in practice and clear business value has been demonstrated. The next phase is to turn that early traction into a scalable, repeatable business - and to build the commercial formula that gets us there.

The opportunity

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Commercial Lead who is first and foremost an exceptional new-business salesperson, but who also has the ambition and capability to grow into the key business leader of Q-Card. The right person will not wait for a complete blueprint; you will help create it through customers, evidence and action.
This is a seller-builder role, not a traditional sales management position. You will personally create pipeline, open doors, run complex enterprise sales cycles and close business. At the same time, you will shape the go-to-market approach, challenge assumptions and build a repeatable commercial system around what proves to work.
Quyntess, as the parent company, provides product management and development, finance and accounting support, marketing resources and systems, and access to experienced management. Within that framework, we expect you to run the commercial side of Q-Card with the ownership, pace and resourcefulness of an entrepreneur - making decisions with imperfect information, learning quickly and adapting without losing momentum.

What you will own

  1. Win new customers - Own the full enterprise sales cycle from target-account selection and prospecting through discovery, solution positioning, business case, demo, negotiation and closing. You actively create opportunities rather than wait for inbound demand.

  2. Build a repeatable go-to-market engine - Continuously sharpen the ideal customer profile, target personas, messaging, qualification approach and sales playbook. Test assumptions in the market, keep what works, change what does not, and turn individual wins into a process that can be repeated by others.

  3. Sell at executive level - Engage and multi-thread across Procurement, Finance, IT and other stakeholders in larger organizations. Develop a clear point of view, challenge customers constructively, quantify value and build consensus across complex decision-making units.

  4. Create commercial momentum with marketing - Give clear market input to the Quyntess marketing team and use available campaigns, content, events and systems to accelerate pipeline creation. Help translate customer proof points and market learning into strong reference stories and commercial assets.

  5. Run the business rhythm - Maintain a fact-based pipeline and forecast in HubSpot, define the key commercial KPIs and ensure disciplined follow-up. Keep the organization focused on the few priorities that can move the business fastest, and turn market feedback into clear actions.

  6. Build for scale - Develop executive relationships with early customers, identify expansion and reference opportunities, and determine when additional sales or customer-facing capacity is needed. Build capabilities and ways of working that make Q-Card easier to scale, and over time help recruit, coach and lead the commercial organization around you.

What success looks like

  • A growing base of new enterprise customers and visible progress toward the scale-up ambition.
  • Further grow a healthy, self-created pipeline with increasingly predictable conversion and forecasting.
  • An ICP, value proposition and sales playbook that becomes sharper and more repeatable with every customer conversation, win and loss.
  • Referenceable customers and quantified business cases that make the next sale easier than the previous one.
  • Q-Card becoming more capable of operating as a focused, fast-moving and scalable business.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a proven new-business seller who is energized by building rather than inheriting. You combine enterprise sales capability with high ownership and a strong bias for action. You are comfortable when not everything is known, can separate signal from noise and test a point of view quickly. You bring conviction without rigidity: willing to challenge established thinking, but equally willing to change direction when customers and evidence point elsewhere.

  • A demonstrable track record in B2B SaaS, fintech or technology-enabled solution sales, with a strong new-business / hunter component.
  • Experience selling into larger organizations with multi-stakeholder, multi-level and sometimes lengthy sales cycles.
  • Confidence engaging senior decision makers and translating product capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong discovery, solution demonstration, business-case and negotiation skills. You can sell value, not just features, and turn insight into execution.
  • You have created commercial momentum with limited structure and resources - for example by opening a market, building your own pipeline, launching a proposition or helping an early-stage business grow. You can explain what worked, what did not, and what you changed as a result.
  • Experience in procurement, P2P, corporate spend, payments, expense management or financial software is highly relevant, but not a substitute for the right commercial and entrepreneurial capability.
  • Professional fluency in Dutch and English. German, French or a Scandinavian language is an advantage.
  • A bachelor-level education or equivalent level of commercial experience and intellectual capability.

What Q-Card and Quyntess offer

  • A rare opportunity to build a business, not simply inherit a territory or execute an established sales script.
  • A proven solution with the first customers onboard, while the commercial model is still open enough for you to shape how Q-Card wins and scales.
  • The backing of Quyntess for product, technology, finance, marketing systems and management expertise - allowing you to focus on customers, commercial growth and building the business.
  • High autonomy, direct access to decision makers and the freedom to test, learn and improve quickly. The role can grow materially as Q-Card scales.
  • A performance-oriented compensation approach with strong incentives linked to results and value creation.
